We want you to enjoy your visit to Stoffel Family Dentistry. We've invested in state-of-the-art tools, advanced training, and modern comforts to provide a positive, relaxing experience.
During your checkup or new patient exam, we'll use an intraoral camera to take pictures of your teeth and gums and display them on a flat-screen chairside monitor. These images are a useful tool to help you decide which therapies to pursue. Short CAESY Patient Education videos provide additional information about our services. To help you envision your proposed new smile before committing to treatment, Dr. Stoffel may create a wax model showing the benefits of suggested therapies.
Digital X-rays show a comprehensive view of teeth and supporting structures to aid in accurate diagnoses. In addition to emitting about 80% less radiation than traditional X-rays, they’re available for immediate viewing on chairside monitors and can be electronically transmitted to insurance companies and specialists. Our digital Panorex machine provides a two-dimensional view of your mouth to help us identify issues not easily seen during a visual or manual exam.
We use a DIAGNOdent laser to scan teeth for cavities. This state-of-the-art tool identifies early stage decay before it can be seen or felt. Early detection means rapid restoration before significant damage occurs.
Dr. Stoffel cares about your comfort and employs a gentle, two-step injection technique for stress-free numbing. First, he'll use a tiny needle to deposit a few drops of anesthesia at the injection site. After the injection site is numb, he’ll administer a larger dose of anesthesia to numb your mouth. Our patients rave about this technique and appreciate Dr. Stoffel's soft touch and kind manner. We may use nitrous oxide to enhance relaxation during treatment.
For your enjoyment, we have stereo headphones and televisions in our treatment rooms. Dr. Stoffel will also (attempt to) entertain you with his sparkling wit.
