Your Exam
We'll reserve one hour for your initial visit. Please bring your completed new patient forms with you. While circumstances vary from patient to patient, you could be escorted to a treatment room where our dental hygienist will clean your teeth. Then you’ll meet Dr. Stoffel to discuss your health history and the reason for your visit. During a comprehensive exam, Dr. Stoffel will check your existing dental work for wear and may scan your teeth for decay with our non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser. He'll perform an oral cancer screening, evaluate your bite alignment, and gum health. A complete set of digital X-rays will provide a comprehensive view of your teeth and supporting structures for accurate diagnoses. To help you become an active participant in your dental care, we’ll take pictures of your teeth and gums with an intraoral camera and display them on your chairside monitor during your exam.
Before you leave, we'll present a customized treatment plan, explain your options for care, and schedule treatment. We may also show you short <a href="http://www.caesy.com" _cke_saved_href="http://www.caesy.com" title="CAESY dental education target=" _blank"="">CAESY</a> Patient Education videos that explain the services you choose.</p> <h2> Appointments</h2> <p> Patients are seen by appointment only. We'll call to confirm your appointment on the preceding business day. We kindly ask for 24-hours' notice to reschedule appointments. If you must reschedule due an emergency, please <a href="contact-us.html" _cke_saved_href="contact-us.html" title="contact Stoffel Family Dentistry">call</a> us as soon as possible so that we may offer your appointment time to another patient.</p> <h2> Payment Options</h2> <p> For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and debit cards. Third-party financing is available through <a href="http://www.carecredit.com/" _cke_saved_href="http://www.carecredit.com/" title="CareCredit dental financing" target="_blank">CareCredit</a>, often at low or no interest for qualified applicants. Please see their website for details. In an effort to keep dental costs down while maintaining a high level of care, we require payment at the time of treatment. We offer a 5% bookkeeping adjustment for payment made in full by cash or check at the time of service.</p> <h2> Insurance Information</h2> <p> As a courtesy, we’ll gladly submit your insurance claim. You are responsible for your deductible or co-pay, as well as any unpaid balance not covered by insurance.
