Meet Our Team
Dr. William J. Stoffel, Jr.
Dr. Stoffel is passionate about your oral health. He believes that everyone can keep their teeth for a lifetime, and he's dedicated to maintaining, restoring, and enhancing smiles through modern, comprehensive dentistry. Patients love his quick wit, gentle touch, and easy-going demeanor.
Education and Affiliations
Dr. Stoffel received his DDS from Marquette University Dental School in 1976. A lifetime learner, Dr. Stoffel continually hones his craft through continuing education. He has undergone advanced training in Invisalign, traditional orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry, and he attended the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate program in esthetics at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Stoffel is a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Dubuque County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and International Association for Orthodontics.
Family Life and Hobbies
Dr. Stoffel and his wife, Jan, have three children: Leah, Ellen, and Will. They're the proud grandparents of three grandchildren. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Stoffel is an avid cyclist and all-around athlete. He also enjoys gardening (the office becomes a greenhouse in the winter!) and boating on the Mississippi. He's a classically trained pianist who continues to take lessons, and he recently performed a fundraiser entitled "Is There a Doctor in the House" for the Northeast Iowa School of Music.
Community Service
Dr. Stoffel has participated in the Northeast Iowa Council of Boy Scouts of America for the past 30 years, is involved with the Clarke College Development Council, and is a member of the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce. He has hospital privileges at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Dr. Stoffel devotes his Fridays to hospital dentistry, continuing education, or onsite care at a local special needs center. Two of Dr. Stoffel's children were born in Dubuque, and he and Jan have lived here for 30 years, so they consider it home. They enjoy supporting the local community in any way they can.

Amy Duehr, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Amy began her dental hygiene career 13 years ago at our practice, after receiving her BS in dental hygiene from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the Iowa Dental Hygienists' Association and American Dental Hygienists' Association. Amy enjoys our friendly, relaxed atmosphere and staff rapport. She likes meeting and talking with patients and promoting a positive dental care experience. Amy and her husband, Tony, have two young children: Olivia and Jack. After hours, Amy enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
Dr. Stoffel says: Amy is one of the few degreed hygienists in the area. Patients always remark on her gentle touch – they hardly know that she is doing anything. Very caring.

Kathy Blodgett, CDA/RDA
Patient Coordinator
Kathy has been with our practice for 24 of her 26 years in dentistry. She began as a chairside assistant after obtaining her associate's degree in dental assisting from Northeast Iowa Community College. She is a 26-year member of the Dental Assisting National Board and is Mercy Medical Center hospital dentistry credentialed. Kathy enjoys her long-term patient relationships. She knows everyone by name and has provided service to generations of families. Kathy and her husband, Joe, have three teenage children: Clare, Andrew, and Kerry. For the past 15 years, Kathy has participated in the local Irish dance troupe, the Claddagh Dancers of Dubuque. Her daughters also dance for the troupe.
Dr. Stoffel says: Kathy is great with our long-term patients. She knows everyone’s name and relations, and she has seen three generations of some families. She’s very helpful with filing insurance.

Kathy Cook, CDA/RDA
Patient Coordinator
Kathy's 18 years of experience have been spent in our office. She began as a chairside assistant and now is at our front desk helping patients. She received her dental assistant certificate and associate's degree in accounting from Northeast Iowa Community College. She has been a member of the Dental Assisting National Board for 18 years and is Mercy Medical Center hospital dentistry credentialed. Kathy enjoys the progressive philosophy of our practice and values the opportunity to educate, not just treat, patients. She likes the daily interaction with patients and has seen generations of families in our practice. Kathy and her husband, Todd, have two young children: Lane and Alec. Kathy loves the outdoors, gardening, and helping her husband on their farm.
Dr. Stoffel says: Kathy is committed to ensuring that patients are aware of their dental needs and helping them understand how they can meet those needs. She always has a smile on her face and is extremely patient.

Stacy Roeth, RDA
Chairside Dental Assistant
Stacy has been a chairside dental assistant for five years and has spent the last three years as a member of our team. She received her dental assisting certificate from the Northeast Iowa Community College and is Mercy Medical Center hospital dentistry credentialed. Stacy enjoys our team camaraderie and interacting with patients. In her spare time, she likes going to the fairgrounds for the races and spending time with her dog, Izzy.
Dr. Stoffel says: Stacy is wonderful with kids. She has taken a leadership role in care delivery that is exciting to see in a young staff member.

Meagan Bontemps, RDA
Chairside Dental Assistant
Meagan has been with us for two years. She received her dental assistant certification from Northeast Iowa Community College and is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association. Meagan enjoys the family atmosphere of our practice and values the opportunity to improve the dental health of her patients. She has a young daughter, Raegan, and is engaged to be married. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, drawing, and writing.
Dr. Stoffel says: Meagan’s love and enjoyment of children is evident in her approach. She is a good listener and has excellent patient rapport.

Jennifer Rojeman, RDA
Chairside Dental Assistant
Jenny is the newest member of the dental team and newest to the profession. She received her dental assistant certification from Northeast Iowa Community College. She enjoys assisting because she can get to know the patients and help with their dental needs. She is grateful to belong to a staff that is so dedicated to patients. Jenny also enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, softball and volleyball.
